#237π Your Rearview Mirror: A Reminder to Live in the Present π°οΈ

The rearview mirror π isn't just a tool for safe driving; it's a small reminder to keep us in the here and now, rather than dwelling on the past. It's also one of the simple exercises I include in my workshops to help us gauge where our thoughts reside β in the past or the future.
This reminds me of my college days and a classmate, Jisha π. She used to analyze handwriting, and once she pointed out something fascinating about mine. She noticed a slight backward tilt in my handwriting, suggesting that I tend to live in the past π.
But here's the beauty of it: our handwriting can change over time, just as we can change our habits. So, I took that as a cue to work on living more in the present. It still has a slight backward tilt πΌ.
You see, when we're too caught up in replaying the memories of the past, we tend to miss out on the beauty of the current moment. Mindfulness is like a gentle nudge, urging us to savor the present, to be here, now π.
So, the next time you adjust your rearview mirror, take a moment to reflect not only on the road behind you but also on the road ahead and the present moment you're driving through.
