[121] The Versatility of Pankaj Ji and Lessons on Tradition vs. Science πŸ› οΈπŸ₯₯

While staying at a hostel, I had the pleasure of meeting Pankaj Ji. An absolute all-rounder, he seamlessly handled everything – from culinary delights to plumbing fixes, and from maintenance tasks to adept guest management. It's incredible how such multifaceted individuals are the backbone of establishments, reinforcing the notion that versatility is indeed a strength. 🌟

During our exchanges, Pankaj Ji imparted a slice of traditional wisdom: using mustard oil behind the ears and on the belly button for cleanliness. As someone who values scientific reasoning, I was initially skeptical. But then, I remembered my own past practice of applying coconut oil, which I discontinued due to concerns about dirt accumulation.

However, recent studies and readings have illuminated the antibacterial properties of oils. Bacteria and fungus, it seems, struggle in oily environments. This brings to mind the protective oily layer atop pickles that shouldn't be removed, as it acts as a barrier against contaminants.

Inspired by this blend of tradition and science, I've reintroduced coconut oil into my routine. I apply it post-shower, wash it off, and reapply – ensuring cleanliness and reaping its benefits simultaneously.

This experience reminded me of my cousin's question on how I could question beliefs in the occult and mysticism after spending significant time learning them. The answer? Maintain a beginner's mindset. Approach learning with an "empty cup" and stay open to new perspectives, irrespective of past convictions. After all, embodying an attitude of mindfulness means continually evolving and adapting. πŸ΅πŸ”„πŸ“š
