#304 Frisbee, Mindfulness, and Compassion: Nurturing Love in Life's Diverse Activities πŸοΈπŸ€πŸ’™πŸ†πŸ“ˆ

After my scooter accident in 2017, two screws on the ankle, and surgery, coupled with an increased awareness of the body, and as a foundation of mindfulness inspired by mystics, I avoid diverting attention and energy to the uneasiness of the body through injuries. Thus, I steer clear of contact sports as much as possible. πŸοΈπŸš‘

Participating in Frisbee drop-in events, amidst lots of high-energy newbies, there were some minimal contacts. However, the reference is to avoid and back off if there is a possibility of contact. 🚷

I've gained a lot more appreciation from the facilitators of Frisbee when noticing and encouragement even when a little effort, showing quick learning, and making dives were done. Encouraging opponents and being considerate of their state of mind when not in harmony has fostered a camaraderie, nurturing compassion for opponents. πŸ€πŸ’™

Mindfulness isn’t the only value to nurture love, compassion, and kindness; sports, movies, painting, and many other 'yes to life' activities also contribute.

One of my clear preferences is that I like practice more than point games; practice opens up the possibility for creativity. Defeat and wins are seen as adding to superior and inferior egos.
