Diving deep into the modulations of my voice, I discern a pattern: a default setting of fast, perhaps too loud, expressions. And then, some of my close friends, who process my fast paced conversations, even if I swallow words made me less aware of the state of affairs of communication. When enveloped in mindfulness, though, a metamorphosis occurs: my words become softer, paced deliberately with pauses, and silence gracefully sewn in. π
Our vocal tones, the softness or harshness of our words, are often a direct download from cultural conditioning.π
In theatre workshops, they teach this β voice modulation and the sheer awareness of each note and pitch, introducing mindfulness into oneβs voice as though itβs an art form itself.π
In places like Japan and Germany, public spaces echo with the tacit agreement of communal respect. Play music too loudly, and a sea of frowns, perhaps even reprimands, will wash over you.π―π΅π©πͺ
Every culture, every person, holds a unique soundprint, and mindfulness in our auditory expressions weaves a harmonious tapestry where every voice, loud or soft, finds a melodious space to coexist. πππ«
After being moderately annoyed by public insensitivity, I was like why not enjoy the music and go with the beat.
